1. Agreement and scope

These terms are an agreement between you and Scale Tech LLC. They apply when you browse scalehabits.com, request an invitation, register, use Scale Habits, or purchase access. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Our Privacy Notice and Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice explain our data practices. Important purchase terms also appear at checkout. If those terms conflict with this page about price, duration, or renewal, the checkout terms control for that purchase.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. By registering or purchasing access, you represent that you meet both requirements.

We may ask for a neutral age or age-range response and retain only the eligibility result. We may also use an age-range signal supplied by Apple, Google, or another approved provider. A signal that identifies you as under 18 overrides an adult self-attestation.

Give us accurate account information and keep your sign-in method secure. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account unless law provides otherwise.

3. What Scale Habits does

Scale Habits is a general wellness and weight-management product that helps adults make practical food choices, build sustainable habits, and learn from what works for them over time. It can support people using GLP-1 medications, as well as people managing weight without them.

Depending on the features available, you may set goals, compare food options, save a plan, record what you actually ate, complete check-ins, and review progress or patterns. You may provide information such as menus, labels, meal descriptions, images, preferences, appetite, practical constraints, medication context, allergies, weight, other measurements, and prior experience.

The service may use that information to provide personalized questions, food suggestions, tradeoffs, plans, reflections, progress summaries, pattern insights, and habit guidance. Its purpose is to make everyday decisions easier and help you apply what you learn to later choices and longer-term goals.

Recommendations depend on the information you provide and the information available to us. They can be incomplete or wrong. You decide what to eat and remain responsible for checking ingredients, portions, preparation, freshness, allergens, and suitability.

Features and availability can differ by release, device, location, or access level. We may improve, replace, or remove a feature while preserving rights that cannot legally be limited.

4. Wellness and safety

Scale Habits is a general wellness and food-choice service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, medication management, dosage guidance, symptom assessment, or emergency care. It does not create a clinician-patient relationship.

GLP-1-aware support means we can consider food-related context that you choose to share. It does not mean we monitor your medication or replace your prescriber. Do not start, stop, or change medication or treatment because of Scale Habits.

Seek a qualified healthcare professional for personal medical questions, unexpected or severe symptoms, pregnancy, an eating-disorder concern, or a major change to eating or weight goals. Call emergency services when you may need urgent care.

No weight-loss result is promised. Rapid weight loss can be unsafe, and lasting weight management ordinarily requires sustainable habits. Before a paid weight-management offer, we will disclose its price, duration, included services, and cancellation rights.

5. AI-assisted features

Some Scale Habits features use artificial intelligence. AI output is probabilistic and may misunderstand an input, miss context, or produce an inaccurate suggestion. Treat each recommendation as support for your judgment, not as a fact or instruction.

Before protected food or health information is sent to an external AI provider, we will show a separate permission screen. It will identify the information involved, purpose, provider or provider category, and available choice. Declining that permission may make the affected feature unavailable without limiting unrelated account or data rights.

6. Invite requests

You may provide your first name and email address to request an invitation. An invite request is not an account, purchase, reservation, queue position, or guarantee of access.

We may decide when invitations are available and who receives one. You may withdraw your request before an invitation is sent by contacting us.

7. Passes and subscriptions

Passes. A Pass provides seven days of access beginning at the verified access start shown in your receipt. It is a one-time purchase and does not renew or convert into a recurring subscription. Any later subscription requires a separate purchase with a new checkout disclosure.

Subscriptions. A subscription renews at the price and interval shown at checkout until you cancel. We will show the amount, billing frequency, renewal terms, and any promotional conditions before purchase. We will give notice of price changes and obtain renewed consent when law requires it.

Payment. You authorize the stated payment provider to charge the selected payment method, including applicable taxes. Apple, Google, Stripe, or another named provider may process the payment. We do not receive your full card number from a payment provider.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time through the method shown in your account, purchase receipt, or app store. Cancellation stops future renewal charges and ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Cancellation alone does not refund the current charge.

For the first charge for a Pass or subscription purchased directly from Scale Habits, you may request a full refund by emailing info@scalehabits.com within three business days after the charge. If we issue a refund, the related paid access ends.

Renewal charges and partially used periods are otherwise nonrefundable. We will correct a duplicate, unauthorized, or erroneous charge and a failure to provide paid access as law requires. Any longer cancellation, refund, credit, or dispute right required by applicable law remains available.

Apple App Store and Google Play purchases are canceled and refunded through the applicable store under its rules. Account deletion does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription or create a refund.

9. Your content and our license

You keep ownership of the text, images, preferences, feedback, and other material you provide. You give Scale Tech LLC a limited, nonexclusive license to host, copy, transform, transmit, and use your content only to provide, secure, support, and improve the service as described in our notices and your permissions.

Do not provide content you lack the right to use. Remove information about another person when it is not needed. Our service, software, design, text, models, and brand belong toScale Tech LLC or our licensors.

We give you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use Scale Habits for lawful, noncommercial purposes while your access is active. No other license is granted.

10. Acceptable use

Do not misuse Scale Habits. This includes interfering with security, accessing nonpublic areas, introducing harmful code, scraping at unreasonable scale, automating abusive requests, impersonating someone, reverse engineering where law permits us to restrict it, or using the service to violate another person's rights.

Do not use Scale Habits or its output to train or benchmark a competing model or service without written permission. Lawful quotation, linking, interoperability, and uses that cannot legally be restricted remain permitted.

11. Platforms and third parties

Third-party services and links have their own terms and privacy practices. Apple and Google are not responsible for Scale Habits, support, claims, or these terms except where their platform terms state otherwise. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for an iOS app and may enforce the relevant platform terms.

Restaurant menus, package details, and other source information can change. Confirm current information with the restaurant, manufacturer, or other original source before relying on it.

12. Availability and termination

We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, security, legal compliance, provider failure, harmful use, nonpayment, or a breach of these terms.

You may stop using Scale Habits and request account deletion. We may close an account after reasonable notice when practical, or immediately when needed for safety, security, fraud, law, or serious misuse. Sections that by their nature should continue after closure remain in effect.

13. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Scale Habits is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not disclaim a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be disclaimed.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Scale Tech LLC and its members, employees, contractors, and licensors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities.

Our total liability arising from Scale Habits will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot legally be limited.

14. Changes, law, and contact

We may update these terms for legal, safety, security, commercial, or product reasons. We will give reasonable advance notice of a material change when required and seek renewed agreement when law requires it. The date above identifies the current terms.

New York law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where a forum may lawfully be agreed, disputes must be brought in the state courts in New York County, New York, or the federal court for the Southern District of New York. You keep any consumer rights and forum rights that cannot be waived.

These terms and the documents they incorporate are the complete agreement about Scale Habits. If one term is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. We may assign these terms as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business. You may not assign them without our consent.
